EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Piven (Entourage), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Tim McInnerny (Gladiator 2) and singer and actress Pixie Lott (Christmas Karma) are due to star in psychological-thriller Past Life. Film Mode Entertainment has boarded sales on the project, which is aiming to start filming in February 2025 in Manchester, UK.
Past Life follows Jason Frey (Moseley), an investigative reporter who reluctantly agrees to attend a hypnotism event with his pregnant wife Claira (Lott). Under hypnosis, Jason witnesses a murder through the eyes of a psychotic killer. Haunted by what he has seen, Jason partners with the hypnotist (Piven) to use ‘past life regression’ techniques to investigate a series of unsolved murders from the 1980s while unwittingly reawakening a psychotic killer’s tendencies.

William Fichtner, Emily Hall and Caroline Concannon have joined the cast of the Michael Mailer Films and Tremendous Entertainment film Cutman.
The film is helmed by producer-director/co-writer Michael Mailer (Blind, Heart of Champions).
Cutman delves into the underworld of a retired boxer, played by Fichtner, who grapples with a terminal illness while reluctantly serving as an enforcer for low-level mobsters. Haunted by the memory of his deceased cutman, he suffers until a chance encounter with a troubled junkie, played by Emily Hall, and her daughter, played by Caroline Concannon. He’s then embarks on a journey of redemption and retribution.
Fichtner is known for roles in Armageddon, Crash, Black Hawk Down and The Dark Knight, and on the TV series Prison Break. Fichtner was most recently seen starring opposite Milo Ventimiglia, Catherine Haena Kim and Sarah Wayne Callies on ABC’s The Company You Keep.
Emily Hall was previously in Animal Kingdom for TNT and Leverage: Redemption for Amazon/Freevee.

‘Fresh Kills’: Quiver Distribution Acquires Jennifer Esposito’s Directorial Debut Film And Sets For Spring Theatrical Release

EXCLUSIVE: Quiver Distribution announced today that they have acquired North American rights for the family crime drama Fresh Kills written and directed by Jennifer Esposito (Blue Bloods, Summer Of Sam, Crash) in her feature film debut. The film stars Esposito, Emily Bader, Odessa A’zion, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Annabella Sciorra. Quiver will release the film in theaters on May 17th.
Fresh Kills brings late 1980s Staten Island to vivid life through the lens of Rose Larusso (Bader), an inquisitive young girl who discovers her father (Lombardozzi) is an emerging mafia kingpin. Rose’s growing desire to break free from the path set before her soon threatens her existence and alienates her from her closest allies: her mother Francine (Esposito), her sister Connie (A’zion), and her aunt Christine (Sciorra).

Actors Stephen Bishop, LeToya Luckett (Greenleaf), and Iyana Halley (This is Us) have signed on to lead the BET+ thriller One Night Stay from Worldwide Entertainment and Media in association with Choice Films.
Bishop is best known for his role in BET’s popular series Being Mary Jane. Luckett, a former musician and member of the RnB group Destiny’s Child, is best known on screen for the Oprah Winfrey-produced series Greenleaf, while Iyana Halley’s credits include This is Us.
The cast is rounded out by Laurissa Romain (Top Five), Robert Christopher Riley (Hit the Floor), Essence Atkins (Marlon), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Bold and the Beautiful), and MC Lyte (Girl’s Trip).
Developed by Jenna Frank and Zach Hunter under the Beautiful Orchid Media label, the pic was written by Curtis Cardwell. Director is Rick S Mordecon. The film is set for a January 4 release on BET+.
